Harwood Feffer LLP Announces Investigation of NantHealth, Inc.
Mar 9, 2017
NEW YORK, March 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Harwood Feffer LLP (www.hfesq.com) is investigating potential claims against the board of directors of NantHealth, Inc. ("NantHealth" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: NH) concerning whether the board has breached its fiduciary duties to shareholders.
On March 6, 2017, STATnews.com published an article titled "How the world's richest doctor gave away millions – then steered the cash back to his company," reporting that NantHealth's founder Patrick Soon-Shiong ("Dr. Soon") gave $12 million to the University of Utah that required the University to spend $10 million genetic sequencing work performed by NantHealth. According to the article, this arrangement enabled NantHealth to inflate by more than 50% the number of test orders that it reported to investors in 2016.
Our investigation concerns whether the Company board of directors has breached its fiduciary duties to shareholders, grossly mismanaged the Company, and/or committed abuses of control in connection with the foregoing.
