NEW YORK, Aug. 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Harwood Feffer LLP (www.hfesq.com) is investigating potential claims against the board of directors of Las Vegas Sands Corp. ("Sands" or the "Company") (NYSE: LVS), concerning whether the board has breached its fiduciary duties to shareholders.

Sands is facing investigations from both the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, for violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. These investigations are costly to Sands.
The dismissal of Steven Jacobs, the former Chief Executive Officer of Sands China Limited ("SCL"), who was responsible for Sands operations in Macau, has brought many of the board's failures, as well as indiscretions, to light. Jacobs' termination has led to both costly legal actions and a number of investigations into the Sands.
Our investigation concerns whether the Sands board of directors has breached its fiduciary duties to shareholders, grossly mismanaged the Company, and/or committed abuses of control in connection with the foregoing.
