Harwood Feffer LLP Announces Investigation of U.S. Concrete, Inc.

Mar 29, 2017

NEW YORK, March 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Harwood Feffer LLP (www.hfesq.com) is investigating potential claims against the board of directors of U.S. Concrete, Inc. ("U.S. Concrete" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: USCR) concerning whether the board has breached its fiduciary duties to shareholders.

On March 24, 2017, the Company filed a Form 8-K disclosing that its Chief Financial Officer had resigned and that the board had terminated its independent auditor, Grant Thornton LLP ("Grant Thornton").  According to Grant Thornton's review of the Company financials, during the 2016 fiscal year, U.S. Concrete suffered from a material weakness relating to management review controls associated with the completeness and accuracy of computations relating to income tax accounts and disclosures.

Our investigation concerns whether the Company board of directors has breached its fiduciary duties to shareholders, grossly mismanaged the Company, and/or committed abuses of control in connection with the foregoing.
