NEW YORK, Jan. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Harwood Feffer LLP (www.hfesq.com) is investigating potential claims against the board of directors of Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. ("Chipotle" or the "Company") (NYSE: CMG), concerning whether the board has breached its fiduciary duties to shareholders.

In October and November 2015, a widely reported-on E. coli outbreak sickened customers who had eaten at Chipotle restaurants.  In December 2015, it was reported that 80 students at Boston College had become sick after eating at a Chipotle restaurant in Brighton, Massachusetts.     

On January 6, 2016, the Chipotle disclosed that it has been served with a grand jury subpoena in connection with a federal criminal investigation into a norovirus outbreak that sickened customers at a Chipotle restaurant in Simi Valley, California in August 2015. 

On this news, Chipotle stock, which closed over $540 per share in December 2015, fell to its current trading price of approximately $415 per share.
