Harwood Feffer LLP Announces Investigation of Amicus Therapeutics, Inc.
Oct 9, 2015
NEW YORK, Oct. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Harwood Feffer LLP (www.hfesq.com) is investigating potential claims against the board of directors of Amicus Therapeutics, Inc. ("Amicus" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: FOLD), concerning whether the board has breached its fiduciary duties to shareholders.
On September 2, 2015, Amicus issued an upbeat press release about the outcome of a meeting with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ("FDA") regarding the New Drug Application for the Company's product candidate, migalastat.
On October 2, 2015, the Company issued a press release titled "Amicus Therapeutics Provides U.S. Regulatory Update for Migalastat Monotherapy," in which it retracted its previous description of the FDA feedback described in September in light of, among other things, the "final FDA minutes" from the same September meeting.
The Company's stock dropped significantly on this disclosure and has lost approximately 66% of its value since its September 2015 highs.
Our investigation concerns whether the Company board of directors has breached its fiduciary duties to shareholders, grossly mismanaged the Company, and/or committed abuses of control in connection with the foregoing.
